Description

Something I've been working on without actually writing for several months now....... aww who am I kidding the idea went on a shelf for more than a year and about two sketchbooks ago. Right now my only hope is that I got the child's look of abject fear and the illusion of reality placed in the mirror right. if someone can guess what's going on I'll write out a much more elaborate description.

That's cool. I like the mirror effect.

As for what's going on, I am unsure. never having played any of the games and only watching the movie, i can only speculate on what i see.

I'm going to assume the kid with the gun got sucked into this Silent Hill place and is now being chased by some large, possibly green, gray or tan creature. He has only a few rounds left and he doesn't even know if the gun will do anything.

I'm not sure where he is, but from the size of the window, i'm thinking he's not in a restroom. But then again, there might be some semblence of a sink in front of the mirror. If not a restroom, I'd say he was in a woman's bedroom, infront of a wardrobe maybe.

As for the big thing, it has a collar. The collar could represent severe restrictions in the child's life. Parent-type-figures (probably orphanage people) were harsh and heavy with the dicipline. The stitches could also represent abuse. The child was beat and made to feel like dirt. The electrode-like objects jutting from the collar seem to support this idea.

It is also missing its eyes, ears, and nose and has its mouth sewen shut, seemingly cutting off its senses. This could symbolize the isolation in the boy's life. He has had few or no real friendships that have lasted any real amount of time.

Overall, the creature could represent the child's low self-esteem or his fear of authority type people.

The gun is hard to make out, but it seem like it should be a revolver. A revolver only has six shots before the long proccess of reloading, limiting the shooter. Also, it doesn't take a great deal of skill to use a gun. Something like a blade would take more skill to weild. Since the boy is choosing to use a revolver, he could be feeling he is inadequite. He doesn't think he has the skills to use something else. He feels cursed by his limitations.

That's about all i got.
